2007 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-013
ErrorDescription
This 2007 Philadelphia Mint George Washington Presidential Dollar carries the WDDR-013 doubled die reverse, struck with Position B edge lettering orientation. The doubling appears at the intersection of the second ray clockwise from the head and the right arm of the Statue of Liberty on the common reverse design used across all Presidential Dollars. Die markers include die gouges to the left and right of the top of the A in STATES and a small die gouge to the left of the upper first A in AMERICA, with the obverse in Early Die State. Attributed by the Wexler Team. Position B refers to the orientation of the incused edge lettering relative to the obverse and reverse designs, and the same WDDR-013 variety can appear on coins with either Position A or Position B edge lettering since the edge inscription was applied in a separate operation after striking.
