Description

This Position B regular strike 2007-P George Washington Presidential Dollar exhibits WDDR-008 doubling at the intersection of the second clockwise ray from Liberty's head and her right arm on the Statue of Liberty reverse. Position B means the edge lettering — including the date, mintmark, and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" — reads normally when the reverse (Statue of Liberty) faces up. As a business strike from general circulation production, this coin carries the standard finish rather than the satin texture found in 2007 mint sets. Obverse die markers include a small die gouge near the rim above the G in GEORGE and a short die crack running west to east north-northeast of Washington's left eye (viewer's right). No significant reverse die markers have been noted beyond the doubling itself. Cross-referenced under Wexler Variety ID 2007-P $1 GW WDDR-008, this variety appears across multiple parent listings because Presidential Dollars exist in four combinations of edge lettering position and strike type. This particular listing covers the Position B business strike configuration.
