Description

The 2005-P Oregon State Quarter VDDR-013 is a vibrational doubled die reverse variety cataloged by VarietyVista. Die tracking codes are UVC-???? and DMR-0??, with full marker confirmation pending. The doubling manifests as a spread on the lower tree branches, across the tall tree's middle branches, and along the rocky shoreline depicted on the reverse design. Stage A (EDS, unconfirmed), Stage B (MDS), and Stage C (LDS, unconfirmed) have been identified, with the MDS the best-represented confirmed stage. The 2005-P Oregon State Quarter features Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States formed in the collapsed caldera of Mount Mazama. Crater Lake's extraordinary depth and vivid blue waters are rendered in the reverse design, and the doubling on the tree branches is best visible under magnification at the lower and middle branch zones. New high-magnification digital photographs of a diagnostic specimen are needed to confirm UVC and DMR codes and to validate Stage A and Stage C die states.
