2005 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-012

Description

Featuring the Crater Lake reverse of the Oregon State Quarter, this DDR-012 presents medium spread on the lower right side of the volcano — Wizard Island rising from the waters of the deepest lake in the United States, formed in the caldera of collapsed Mount Mazama. The spread affects volcanic landscape elements where the island's detailed relief translates hub displacement into visible secondary impressions along the geological contours. A light die crack on George Washington's forehead on the obverse appears in early to mid die state, providing a cross-side attribution marker.
