Description

Denver Mint companion to Philadelphia's DDR-004, this 2005-D Oregon State Quarter DDR-010 shows medium spread under the lower right side of the Crater Lake volcano — the same diagnostic area but with less intense doubling. Where DDR-004 earns a strong classification, Denver's DDR-010 registers at medium, requiring slightly more careful examination. Crater Lake's volcanic rim contours provide excellent reference geometry, as the crisp caldera edge reveals even moderate misalignment as a secondary outline. Stage A records both sides in early die state. Stages B and C remain unconfirmed. Cataloged by VarietyVista as UVC-2022 and DMR-012, DDR-010 is one of multiple Oregon Quarter DDRs produced across both mint facilities during the 2005 State Quarters Program. Collectors assembling a comprehensive variety set will want both Philadelphia DDR-004 (strong) and Denver DDR-010 (medium) to compare how the same design area captured hub displacement at different intensities.
