Documented by VarietyVista with cross-references UVC-3245 and DMR-013, this 2002 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln Memorial Cent DDR-012 presents a medium spread to the west producing an extra column at position seven, visible from hand to ankle height, with an extra leg appearing between the legs of the Lincoln statue. The hand-to-ankle range indicates the doubling extends across a substantial vertical span of the statue's seated figure, covering more of the design than varieties limited to the knee area alone. Stage A records early die state on both obverse and reverse, with Stage B and Stage C at mid-die and late die states remaining unconfirmed. The Lincoln Memorial reverse's miniaturized architectural rendering — fitting a building with twelve columns and a seated figure onto a 19mm cent — means that even moderate hub displacement during die preparation creates detectable phantom elements. The extra leg between the statue's legs provides a particularly accessible diagnostic for variety attribution, as the space between Lincoln's legs on a normal die is clear of any design elements.
