The 1995 (P) Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games Gymnastics Proof Dollar is a proof commemorative dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The U.S. Mint produced 182,676 examples. Part of the massive 1995-96 Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games commemorative program — the largest in U.S. The obverse features two gymnasts — a male performing on the rings and a female in a posed position with outstretched arms, while the reverse displays two clasped hands beneath the Olympic torch and rings, symbolizing the brotherhood and team spirit of the Olympic Games. Designed by James Sharpe/William Krawczewics. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9717.
