Description

Strong spread across nearly every peripheral design element: all rim letters, all stars in the circle, dots, arrows, designer's initials, and all stars between the rays except the four under UNUM. Struck during the 1965-1970 silver-clad era with 40% silver content. Die tracking: UVC-116, DMR-011. Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed). Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed). Stage C: die gouge dot to the left of the lower first T of STATES at LDS, with obverse also at LDS. The Stage C gouge provides a critical late-state attribution marker. Cataloged by VarietyVista for the Kennedy Half Dollar silver-clad subseries.
