Die stage progression reveals notable complexity: Stage A exhibits a die crack running across the upper hair to the rim at the K-12 position (12 o'clock), while Stage B documents an obverse die swap — the reverse die was paired with a new obverse partway through production, a mid-run change that creates distinct die marriages collectors can distinguish. Stage A pairs with ODV-00? (? 9), where the question mark reflects genuine uncertainty in cataloging, while Stage B pairs with ODV-011 characterized by a blunt 9 in the date.
