Error
Description
Light spread on PLURIBUS UNUM and STATES OF AMERICA increasing from left to right on the 1963 Denver Jefferson Nickel, a progressive pattern typical of hub distortion where the working hub flexed during die impression. Die tracking: UVC-1225, DMR-006. Stage A: reverse and obverse are EDS. Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed). Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). The left-to-right intensification is diagnostic of distortion mechanics where displacement increases with distance from the hub's support point.
