Description

Cross-referenced as FS-501, this VarietyVista-documented Washington Silver Quarter exhibits a D/D/D Southeast, North triple-punched mintmark with extensive late-stage die cracking. Die markers UVC-0945 / DMR-004: Stage A at EDS (unconfirmed); Stage B at MDS (unconfirmed); Stage C with a die break down the eagle's right wing at LDS, a die crack from BUS to the eagle's left wing, a die crack across the eagle's head, a die crack across upper hair at LDS, and a heavy die gouge through BER of LIBERTY. The simultaneous cracking across wing, eagle head, hair, and LIBERTY at Stage C documents catastrophic late-life die failure across multiple design zones.
