Description
Class II + VI, Distorted and Distended Hub DoublingA very nice constant spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. Very close tripling and extra thickness show on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, MONTICELLO and the right side of the building. Spreads increase from left to right on the lower half of the die. Die markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Short, strong, horizontal die gouge at lower roof line north of right side of long right window; rough die surface inside first U of UNUM; short diagonal die crack left of lower portion of second column.
