This variety was discovered on the 1952 (S) Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-447 DMR-016 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Die crack on forehead – MDS Very strong die scratches North-South through 19 of date Reverse is LDS UVC-3048 DMR-029 Stage C: Small die chip on back of 9 of date – LMDS Reverse die changed – EDS Stage D: Die crack from 9 to 5 of date – LDS Die scratches North-South in C of CENT – MDS.
