Recorded by VarietyVista, this Denver Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent features a forehead die crack that intensifies across multiple stages, providing a clear case study in progressive structural failure. Die markers UVC-389 / DMR-036 track four stages: Stage A at EDS (unconfirmed); Stage B with light die crack on forehead at MDS and reverse at MDS; Stage C with medium die crack on forehead at LMDS, die crack on shoulder at V.D.B., light die crack north-south on shoulder, and reverse at LMDS; Stage D with light die crack from 9 to 5 of date at LDS and die chip in right wheat grains at LDS. The forehead crack escalating from light to medium while shoulder cracks simultaneously develop documents multi-front structural deterioration.
