Description
D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: N/S die scratches left of mint mark. NE die scratches on the edge of the lower bust. N/S die scratches under chin. Long die scratch in the field under VDB. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers are weaker. Obverse Stage C: Short die gouge runs south from bottom of E of WE. Obverse Stage D: None noted. Reverse Stage A: Die scratch running SW from the bottom leg of the N of ONE ending at the top of the center arm of the E of CENT. Long arching die scratch runs from the top of the O in OF running through the leg of the N of UNITED ending left of the C of CENT. Reverse Stage B: Large die chip on upper left wheat stalk. Die crack runs north from die chip on the left edge of the left wheat stalk. Die crack runs north from the tip of the left wheat stalk. Reverse Stage C: Die chip on top right of the O of ONE. Die break in the field to the left of the die chip on the upper wheat stalk. Reverse Stage D: Die break at the upper left wheat stalk and area has grown larger looking like a C on its side.
