Description

RPM-013 records a southeast-direction S/S repunched mintmark on a 1945-S Lincoln Wheat Cent struck with MMS-004 (Trumpet Tail) mintmark style, catalogued UVC-215 and DMR-016 across three die stages. Stage A is the early die state (unconfirmed); Stage B is the mid die state; Stage C is the late die state (unconfirmed). The MMS-004 Trumpet Tail mintmark style is a recognized obverse die variety defined by the distinctive shape of the S punch used — with a flared, trumpet-like tail — making RPM-013 a doubly attributed variety combining both the mintmark style designation and the southeast repunch.
