The 1944-D Repunched Mintmark RPM-008 bears a repunched mintmark created when the engraver struck the mintmark punch into the die at least twice, with the second impression offset from the first. Struck at the Denver Mint, Die markers: UVC-182 DMR-010 Stage A: Reverse is EMDS Obverse is LISTED as DDO-001 – EMDS Stage B: Die crack from Right dome South between pillar # 3 and # 4 to N of CENTS – MDS Obverse is MDS Stage C: Die crack from dome North to rim through mintmark and 2nd U of PLURIBUS – LMDS Two light die cracks East-West through upper hair – LMDS Stage D: LDS (unconfirmed). D/D West. Obverse is LISTED as DDO-001.
