Description

Notable for triple hubbing on UNUM, DDR-002 on the 1943-D wartime silver Jefferson Nickel displays three distinct hub impressions rather than the standard two — creating two layers of displaced secondary images alongside the primary. Medium spread appears on E PLURIBUS UNUM, with light triple impressions specifically on UNUM where all three hub impacts are discernible, plus light spread on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and CENTS. The triple hubbing is the diagnostic hallmark: while most doubled dies show a single secondary ghost image, the triple impression produces a more complex layering effect distinctive under magnification. Die markers UVC-737 and DMR-023 identify the working die.
