Description

The 1942-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-004 shows mintmark repunching evidence from the hand-punching process used at the Philadelphia Mint to apply branch mint letters to working dies. This Jefferson nickel was struck at the San Francisco Mint, composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel, weighing 5.0 grams. Die markers: UVC-0?? DMR-0??
