Description
RPM-004 on the 1941-D Washington Quarter is cataloged under die UVC-0203 / DMR-019 as a D/Inverted D variety — the primary D was punched over an earlier D applied upside-down, and the inverted ghost remains partially visible beneath the final orientation. A D/Inverted D repunch is among the more significant RPM types, requiring the mintmark to be restruck rotated 180 degrees to correct the error. Stage C (LDS) shows a die crack from the eagle's head east to the wing, a second crack on the wing under ITE of UNITED, and a crack across the obverse bust. The 1941-D Washington Quarter is a 90% silver Denver Mint issue. Confirm the inverted-D ghost as the first attribution step; Stage C die cracks provide die-state documentation.
