Description
The 1938-M Philippine Ten Centavos was struck at the Manila Mint as a ten centavos coin in the Philippines Ten Centavos 1903-1945 series. The obverse features a male figure seated beside a hammer and anvil and the reverse displays an eagle above a shield. Struck during the Great Depression, when mintages dropped sharply and the United States abandoned the gold standard in 1933. Auction record: $210 MS64 02-07-2021 David Lawrence RC. Weighing 3.6 grams, 24 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. Cataloged as PCGS #90280.
