Lower mintage means fewer working dies in service, which makes the presence of two cataloged cuds noteworthy: a smaller die population still generated at least two rim-reaching fractures during the production run. The second documented cud for this date, CU-1C-1926D-02, originated from a different working die than the 01 entry, failing at its own unique position and producing a distinct fracture profile.
