1921-S VAM-1AB Die File Lines Obverse, Die Gouge O Discovered by Michael Ash, May 2006. 1AB IV 1 · D2a (Die File Lines Obverse, Die Gouge O) (189) I-2 R-5 Obverse IV 1– Light die file lines in fields in attempt to remove die cracks. Reverse D2a– Shallow diagonal die gouge up from left side of O in DOLLAR. COMMENTS: June 2007 - Leroy has split this variety into the 1921-S VAM-1AB1 and 1921-S VAM-1AB2. The VAM-1AB1 does not have the obverse file lines or the O gouge, but it has two die scratches at NE.
