The obverse features a youthful Liberty facing left wearing a radiate crown, designed after sculptor Anthony de Francisci's wife Teresa and the reverse displays a bald eagle perched on a rock above the word PEACE, with rays of sunlight. First year of the Peace Dollar, struck in high relief to commemorate the end of World War I. Only 1,006,473 produced at Philadelphia, making it a sought-after type coin. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Collectors have cataloged 36 known die varieties for this date.
