Light spread appears on TE of UNITED, F of OF, TA of STATES, and M of AMERICA on this 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cent doubled die reverse, the thirty-sixth DDR cataloged for this historically significant inaugural date of the Lincoln Cent series. Die markers include UVC-???? and DMR-0?? designations with three documented die stages: Stage A in early die state (unconfirmed), Stage B showing a die crack from the left stem to the rim in early-to-mid die state with the obverse also in EMDS, and Stage C in late die state (unconfirmed). The reverse die is identified as RDV-004 (deep cut N, no V.D.B.) or RDV-003 (shallow cut N, no V.D.B.), referencing the reverse die variety classification that distinguishes among the multiple reverse hubs used in 1909.
