Morgan's silver dollar design was produced in relatively modest quantities at Philadelphia in 1903, with an approximate mintage of 4.65 million coins — a figure that places the 1903-P among the scarcer Philadelphia Morgan dollar dates and contributes to its standing as a semi-key date in the series.
