Description
1902-O VAM-28 Near Date, Doubled Profile, 2 Olive Reverse Discovered by Martin Field, July 1979. 28 III2 15 - C4/C3m (Near Date, Doubled Profile, 2 Olive Reverse) (181) Obverse III2 15 - Double nose, lips, chin an Liberty's profile. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C4/C3m - III O mint mark set slightly high with slight tilt to left. Extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. Doubling on top of olive branch at right of olives, at base of olive leaf clusters, at top of upper leaf in lower olive leaf cluster, back of lower arrow head, middle feathers in eagle's left wing, and eagle's nostril. Polishing lines between olive branch and arrow feather and around eagle's legs. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Near date placement. Doubled profile. Mint mark set slightly high with slight tilt to left. Extra olive to right of olive connected to branch. Doubling on top of olive branch. Polishing lines between branch and arrow feather and around eagle's legs. 1902-O VAM-28 & 1902-O VAM-28A were NOT produced with the exact same dies.
