Description
1902-O VAM-23 Near Date, Double Ear, 2 Olive Reverse Discovered by Fred Miller, February 1979.Revised 2009. 23 (revised) III2 13 - C4/C3i (Near Date, Double Ear, 2 Olive Reverse) (181) Obverse III2 13 - Ear doubled on inner right side. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C4/C3i - Extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. III O mint mark set slightly high, centered and upright. Doubling on top olive branch at right of olives, at base of top and left olive leaf cluster, top of middle leaf in left and top of top leaf in lower olive leaf cluster, tops of arrow feathers, back of lower arrow head, middle top of eagles wing and back of eagle's nostril and eye. NI-E TATE O doubled faintly towards rim. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: The 'additional images' match the VAM 42 as illustrated in Alan Scott's published 1902-O One And Done guide.
