Description
1901-S VAM-6 2 Olive Reverse, Far Date Discovered by Jim Baxter, February 1979. 6 III2 2 - C3/C4b (2 Olive Reverse, Far Date) (189) Obverse III2 2 - Date set further right than normal. Reverse C4/C3b - Shallow extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. First lower leaf on left wreath doubled at bottom. Reverse over polished with weak tail feathers and many leaves in wreath disconnected. Gap between the neck and wing appears to be a C3 narrow type but with outline of C4 type at edge of wing. A in Dollar and right star doubled as in C4 type. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Sports a bearded eagle on early example and dissipates as die wears.
