Description
1901-P VAM-7 Doubled Wing and Arrows Discovered by Steve Sabella, November 1980. This coin is a Hit List 40 Morgan VAM. 7 III2 1 - C4/C3c (Doubled Wing and Arrows) (189) Reverse C4/C3c - Faint shallow extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. Eagle's left wing strongly doubled at middle and bottom, arrow heads and eagle's left claw's doubled on left side, top of olive branch doubled at bottom, and two inner most eagle's right wing feathers doubled next to leg. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: '''Comments: Featured in the March 2007 VAMview (VAMview 7, pages 18-19), this variety has recently been noted for its scarcity and the fantastic reverse doubling, possibly due to C3/C4 hub doubling.
