Revised 2013 by Weth 2 (revised) III2 2 - C3a (Doubled 9 Top, Die Scratches Wing) Obverse III2 2 - Right 9 in date doubled at top outside as thin arc. Die marker - Diagonal polishing line at right of T in LIBERTY. Reverse C3a - Series of diagonal die scratches at lower inner feathers of eagle's left wing. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: It looks like all 1899-P VAM-2 & 2A are the same.
