A distinctive die marker — polishing lines visible in the wing-neck gap on the reverse — helps confirm attribution when examining specimens. The 1894-S is a moderately scarce date with a mintage of just 1.26 million pieces, making it one of the lower-production San Francisco Morgan Dollars outside the legendary key dates. VAMWorld's discovery letter was documented through the community forum, and the emission sequence between obverse and reverse die pairings remains under investigation.
