1894-O VAM-9 O/O Inside Top Right, Near Date Discovered by Mark Kimpton, August 2004. 9 III26 ยท C3d (O/O Inside Top Right, Near Date) (181) Obverse III26 โ Date set further left than normal. Slight doubling on nose tip. Reverse C3d โ Medium III O mint mark slightly doubled at top right inside. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Another specimen with the same die polishing lines in and around the bow does not have doubling in the mint mark. It is possible that the coin shown in Leroy's picture has slight machine doubling. There is slight doubling on the Liberty's profile the length of the nose, but it is not likely to be visible below XF. Examined discovery piece and concluded the RPM is valid. It is minor and may not be visible in some stages
