1890-O VAM-1H Denticle Impressions Olive Leaves, Die Edge Gouges Leg Discovery March 2013 by W. L. Revised April 2013 by Kenny M. 1H (revised) III2 1 - C3a (Denticle Impressions Olive Leaves, Die Edge Gouges Leg ) (181) Obverse- Very slight doubling at bottom outside of 89. Slightly doubled Liberty's profile at nose, lips and chin. Reverse- Seven to nine raised dots above olive leaves over to eagle's leg in two closely spaced rows with denticle spacing. Another two raised dots above middle top olive leaf. Three die edge gouges at eagle's right leg feathers. '''DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: '''Comments: This VAM sports a doubled 89 in the date. This coin should probably be renumbered as it has a doubled date and the "VAM-1 family" should probably not have same. I will leave that to someone else to pursue should they feel more motivated than I on this one.
