Description
1890-O VAM-11 Near Date, Doubled Ear & Cap Top, O Set High and Left Discovered by Oscar Simpson, March 1977. Revised 2015 by Wayne Roberts 11(revised) III2 6 - C3d (Near Date, Doubled Ear & Cap Top, O Set High and Left) (181) Obverse III2 6 - Doubled right inside and bottom of earlobe, slight doubling of Phrygian cap top. Date further left than normal. Over polished shallow denticles. Reverse C3d - Over polished shallow denticles. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Date not quite as far left as [[1890-O VAM-10 and does not have the "Comet" die gouges near the date. # The left wing has two almost vertical gouges covering about 1 feather each across from AM. # Check under the nose for a small gouge. # The ear shows a small horizontal gouge on the right side protruding into the ear.
