Description
1887-S VAM-2 S/S Repunched Mint Mark Discovered by William Rawlings, July 1967. Revised 2010. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. 2 (revised) III210 - C3b (S/S – No Damaged Denticles) (187) Reverse C3b – IV S mint mark re-punched with original showing as arcs within top and bottom loops. DPIS –________. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: VAM-2A, VAM-2, VAM-15 :Reverse: Comments: # EDS (VAM-2A) examples show the denticle deformation quite well, LDS (VAM-2) examples do not - the deformation is mushed down considerably (as seen on the VAM-15).
