Description
1886-S VAM-3 Doubled 18-6, S Tilted Left Discovered by Martin Field, August 1979. 3 III2 2 C3c Doubled 18-6, S Tilted Left) (187) Obverse III2 2 - 18-6 in date doubled. 1 and first 8 are doubled at very bottom next to field. 6 is doubled slightly at very top outside of upper loop next to field. 6 also show die chips in lower part of upper loop. Reverse C3c - IV S mint mark centered with slight tilt to left and doubled on outside on outside of upper and lower serfs. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Doubling on bottom of 18 disappears with die wear on later die stages.
