Revised December 2011. 9C(revised) III2 9 - C3a (Far Date, Clashed Obverse n) (189) Obverse lll2 9--Clashed die with faint partial incuse n of In from reverse next to Liberty head neck. Single diagonal clash line at the neck and earlier die state of VAM 9B. Die marker-Single polishing line at top left of ear. Reverse C3a--Die marker-Polishing lines at neck-wing gap. Earlier die state than 1885-P VAM-9B. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: LVA Comment from VAMHusker submittal in 2012, 1885-P VAM-9C is the EDS of 1885-P VAM-9B, LVA kept the 1885-P VAM-9C listing so that leaves us with the single clash being 9C and Double Clash 9B. This variety has been located in very high grades 64, 65, 66, 67 (non premium and plentiful).
