Description
1883-S VAM-7 Tripled First 8, Doubled 1-3 Discovered by Martin Field, February 1980. 7 III2 6 ∙ C3a (Tripled First 8, Doubled 1-3) (187) Obverse III2 6 – First 8 tripled on left inside of both loops and doubled at top inside of lower loop. 1 doubled on top right of vertical shaft and at top right of lower crossbar. 3 doubled slightly at bottom inside of lower loop. Reverse C3a – Normal die DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: This is sometimes (though rarely) found with a prooflike reverse.
