1883-P VAM-15 Doubled 8-3, Dash Under 8 Discovered by Martin Field, December 1980. - revised 2014 weth 15(revised) III2 15 ∙ C3a (Doubled 8-3, Dash Under 8) (181) Obverse III2 15 – Doubled 18-3 with 1 slightly at right side of vertical shaft, left 8 at left inside and lower right outside of upper loop plus top left inside and lower right outside of lower loop and 3 slightly at bottom inside of lower loop. Right 8 has faint rough dash below bottom loop. Die marker - Long diagonal polishing lines at left side of cap ribbon. Reverse C3a – Normal die with small diagonal die gouge at inside of eagle's right leg. Same gouge on 1883-P VAM-14 but polished down somewhat. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments:
