1880-O VAM-7 O/O, Pitted Obverse, Doubled 880 Discovered by Bill Fivaz, June 1973. This coin is a Hit List 40 Morgan VAM. 7(revised) III2 38 • C3c (O/O, Pitted Obverse, Doubled 880) (176) Obverse III2 38 – Doubled 880 with first 8 slightly doubled at right inside of lower loop, second 8 doubled at left outside of upper loop and 0 slightly doubled at lower left inside. Fine raised dots throughout hair and face plus raised dots around motto letters, right and left stars and date digits due to rusted die. Reverse C3c– I O mint mark doubled on right and left side of top surface. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # The legend has larger pits all over it, notably on the date and around the first three stars on the right. # The MM is a doubled (O/O) and is set slightly left. and is shares the exact reverse of [[1880-O VAM-29.
