The 1860 Cent Patterns is a United States dime from the Civil War Patterns (1860-1865) series. The obverse features experimental designs reflecting wartime themes including patriotic motifs and alternative compositions, while the reverse displays various experimental designs. Designed by James Barton Longacre and other Mint engravers. Struck in other. Produced at the New Orleans, Philadelphia, and San Francisco Mints. Civil War Patterns (1860-1865) were created during one of the most turbulent periods in American history.
