Description
The 2026 1804 Dollar Silver Medal is the one-ounce companion piece to the Best of the Mint 1804 Dollar Gold Coin. Designed and sculpted entirely by Medallic Artist Joseph V. Noorigian, this medal offers a contemporary reimagining of the Draped Bust Dollar theme. The obverse presents a young woman as Liberty with flowing hair, flanked by seven stars on the left and six on the right in homage to the original arrangement, bearing the date 2026 and Noorigian's initials "JVN" in the field. The reverse depicts an eagle in full flight above the Earth, encircled by cloud formations with the sun and its rays in the background, a dramatic reinterpretation of the heraldic eagle that adorned Robert Scot's original reverse. Struck in one ounce of 99.9% pure silver, this medal connects the "King of American Coins" to a new generation through Noorigian's skilled craftsmanship.
