The primary doubling feature is a medium spread north on central banner stripes 7 and 9 of the shield — the vertical stripes forming the upper portion of the shield reverse — best examined under 7x with oblique lighting to distinguish genuine doubling from polish lines or strike-related metal flow. The variety progresses through three die stages. Stage A (EDS) is unconfirmed. Stage B (MDS) develops a die chip at the left upper shield edge, a second chip at the left upper banner edge, and a die crack from the upper right T of CENT; a light die crack is also present on the forehead. Stage C (LDS) is unconfirmed.
