Error
Description
Light extra thickness shows on the designer’s initials LB and JFM. Die Markers: Obverse: Die damage shows at the rim above IN in the motto. A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the upper letter G in GOD. A vertical die flow line shows above the upper right curve of the letter U in TRUST. A light vertical die crack shows above the eye on Lincoln’s forehead. A tiny die gouge (dot) shows in the field below the letter Y in LIBERTY. Reverse: A small die gouge shows above the right edge of the first A in AMERICA. A die gouge shows at the rim above and between the letters I and C in AMERICA. A large die chip and associated cracks show on the upper left shield edge above the letters L and U in PLURIBUS.
