Part of the Sacagawea & Native American Dollars 2000 to Date series, the 2011 (D) Native American Dollar - Position B is a dollar from the Denver Mint. The U.S. Mint produced 48.2 million examples, making this ranked 4th of 5 mint variants by mintage, with 26% of production. The obverse features Sacagawea carrying her infant son Jean Baptiste Crapeau on her back and the reverse displays rotating designs honoring Native American contributions to the United States. The 2011 Native American Dollar commemorates the 1621 peace treaty between Plymouth Colony settlers and the Wampanoag Confederacy. The reverse shows hands at either end of a ceremonial peace pipe.
