Cataloged as WDDR-007, this 2007 Lincoln Memorial Cent doubled die reverse was struck at the Philadelphia Mint during the penultimate year before the Memorial reverse's conclusion in 2008. The obverse die markers place this variety in EDS (Early Die State), with a minute die gouge (dot) located inside the first 0 in the date — a subtle but diagnostic feature requiring careful examination under magnification to detect. The reverse is also in EDS with no significant markers noted, meaning the doubled design elements themselves serve as the primary reverse attribution feature. The Lincoln Memorial Cent reverse, designed by Frank Gasparro and introduced in 1959, depicts the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., with a tiny figure of seated Lincoln visible between the central columns — a detail so fine that the Lincoln Cent is one of the few coins where a portrait of the same person appears on both sides.
