Description
Part of the Jefferson Nickels Return to Monticello 2006 to Date series, the 2007 (P) Jefferson Nickel is a nickel from the Philadelphia Mint. The U.S. Mint produced 571.7 million examples, making this the lower-mintage of the two mint variants. The obverse features Thomas Jefferson facing forward in a three-quarter view, the first forward-facing portrait on a U.S. circulating coin and the reverse displays Monticello in a refined depiction. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. The Philadelphia Mint, America's oldest coin-making facility, has struck coins continuously since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
