2005 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-019

Description

Listed by VarietyVista as UVC-3055 / DMR-021, the 2005 DDR-019 Lincoln Memorial cent from Philadelphia exhibits medium spread to the east, producing an extra column #6 from the elbow to the shin. This mid-height eastward doubling captures the central zone of the column immediately left of the seated Lincoln, where the fine relief of Gasparro's design renders even moderate hub displacement as a visible secondary line. Confirmed at Early Die State (Stage A), the ghost column should appear as a clean parallel to the original column #6 between the statue's arm and lower leg. The 2005 date falls in the final years of the Memorial reverse (discontinued after 2008), and the continued discovery of new DDRs through these late years reflects both the sustained high-volume production and the active die variety community that examined circulation finds. Elbow-to-shin extent on column #6 represents a partial eastward shift — enough to register across the column's midsection but insufficient to reach either the hand above or the ankle below.
