Description

Medium spread rotated counterclockwise producing an extra column number 7 and an extra set of knees on the Lincoln statue makes this third DDR for the 2001 Lincoln Memorial Cent one of the more architecturally disruptive doubled die reverses in the series. Frank Gasparro's Memorial reverse features twelve columns flanking a miniature seated Lincoln statue, and doubled die effects that produce phantom architectural elements or duplicate body parts on the statue are among the most visually compelling varieties available.
